Follow the Underground Railroad
The Underground Railroad helped shuttle people north away from the slavery of the South. Though historians doubt it, the story lingers of quilts being used to send messages. There are sixteen traditional blocks, all with their own story.
This sampler quilt features sixteen of the traditional blocks. Come to class on the second Sunday of each month, or just pick up the BOM pattern. Many of the blocks use similar techniques, so a couple will be given each month. If a block needs or benefits from a special tool, TFQ will have that it available for purchase. We will be glad to help you choose fabrics, or raid your stash. As a sampler, you can follow a color theme, or mix it up. Each block can also be turned into a quilt all on its own!
